    Must be the Giles impact

Hull win at Southampton this evening and move up into the play-off places.

Watford now 10 points adrift of the playoffs. 11 really if you consider the current goal difference. Such a shame. Pozzo must be chomping at the bit to sack their latest management effort.

Giles..we loan him out fit and ready to play..bring in some body who is still getting match fit..Good sense that..still the end result is on the managers head..strikers loaned out.ones we kept are picking up knocks..important months these..or are people not fussed

          Bored with you!
Why didn't you inform RE Brown & Adebayo were going to get injured? you obviously knew.
Getting promoted in May must have been you're worst nightmare, all summer with nothing to moan about.

I never understand that argument. You have x number of players in your squad to cover if others get injured / suspended.

So the hindsight / not knowing is irrelevant. It is simple maths that if you have four strikers, and two are injured/ suspended, then you only have two left- and hence no sub striker of cover.

What is more, Brown was injured throughout the transfer window, so club must have had some idea we might end up short.

We kept in the 25..too many who were either injured before season started...brought players in unlikely to complete a season due to injury history..we loaned out fit injury free players..disaster

                Disaster

Just out of interest, aside from Clark, can you remind me of all of these players who were injured before the season started?

And which players were "unlikely to complete a season due to injury history"?

Potts (I know he wasnt going to play anyway but you asked the question)

Burke, Woodrow, Adebayo, Berry, Potts again as five off the top of my head. Doughty has also struggled in the past, as has Nakamba.

I don't actually agree with Bored in Flitwick, but just answering the question as asked.

Part of our recruitment does seem to be taking a chance on players with an injury history

Thanks - I knew there was someone else (Potts) and i couldn't for the life of me think who it was.

Given that we can only register 25 players (excluding under 21s), that broadly means no more than two players per position once you factor in that there will be three keepers in the 25.

Just how many contingencies do you think you can allow for in those circumstances?
