For those driving up where are you planning on leaving cars / how are you getting to St James’s Park?

when we last went we parked on Stanhope Street with about a 20 minute walk to the stadium.

But I guess it depends on what time you get there, and how quickly you want to get away after.

We did get there around 9.30am though and then went for breakfast.

actually looking at the Map it might have been New Mls we parked on. But we did park a way up it.

        Worked out though

6 years ago for the cup game I parked on Tyne Road just by the bridge but I notice that the housing estate which was there has been cleared!!!

For that same ,match, we parked at the Gateshead shopping centre where free buses had been laid on for Town supporters. I don't know if there will be a similar arrangement this time.

I see it's mentioned in the link Godders supplied, but it's £2 return.

Thanks everyone - might go with the metro option, we’re probably going to be there for midday.

Toon fan just popped in to see what the crack was with you guys. If getting the Metro don't make the mistake that an Arsenal fan I met made. If you get on the Metro at Central Station or if you are ont eh south side of the river it has St James' on the front of it, it does go to St James', but it goes there via Whitley Bay and the coast. You need to get off at Monument and change lines!
This lad took 1 & 1/2 hours to get from the Central Station to St James'
