I you’re not trolling, because for me , we are very short of quality depth in CM, with Nakamba long term injured.

Agreed. Not being greedy here but we have zero cover for that area.

We could get Campbell back, better than doing nothing.

Our bench the other night was of lower championship standard. We have a great chance to stay up, so it feels like a real missed opportunity if we don’t bring some depth in.

Clearly two camps on here. People who see our perspective and others who don’t and question us for questioning the club.

We regretted the Steve Sutton decision for the next decade.

Having no cover in for Marvellous could be equally damaging.

I just can’t work out why.

With Marv and Locks out for the season we have Thorpe and Fred as the only other options.

Palace sign a player for £22million.

FFS get Allan back at least.

I said the same last January, that we lacked depth upfront by letting cornick and Jerome go, without a ready made replacement. An injury of length to Morris/adebayo would have significantly weakened us.

Lose Barkley/Lakonga and that will be very damaging. I love Pelly and Berry for the instrumental roles in getting us here, but neither are of prem standard. Feels like we’re relying on luck again..

Yes, and this year more than any year we can afford to pay a bit more even it was a European loan type fee.

Plus Albert can’t play against Arsenal so that makes getting anything there even harder.

After getting this far are we really unable to do anything?????

Makes me wonder what the point of letting Giles go.

Exactly. No one in their right mind is advocating us splashing the cash, however the club have known about the prognosis for Nakambas injury for a long time, therefore there’s no excuse for being caught short, especially as we have some cash/foreign loan option to play with.

We’ve improved significantly in the last 6-8 weeks, predominantly due to the Barkley/lakonga partnership giving us more control and quality in possession.

We’re effectively relying on luck now that neither of them two sustain a serious injury..

You can scoff but we make a perfectly valid point.

Edwards said we would finish the windows stronger, that isn’t true.

                                  Yet.

I agree we could do with cover in these posistions , but I think Rob meant it in a different way , he meant in the long term with the signing the likes of Tom Holmes and Harris , plus adding Hashioka , and also without losing anyone from the squad that is key to what we're doing successfully so far , at the moment it looks that way , unless another quality player comes in tonight .For the remainder of the season though , I just hope we have enough quality to stay up , we definitely could do with 1 or 2 more , especially as Locks will not play this season and not sure of Nakamba situation.

He is better than Thorpe or Fred.

                                        How is it stronger?

We are 17th in the Premier League we should taking advantage and doubling down on our survival chances.

I’ve listened to Gary’s interview on 3cr and he seemed extremely bullish that we would stay up, to the point where it sounded like he thought there was little doubt.

If we kept our key players fit, I would agree with him, however we all know injuries happen throughout a season, and this seems a massive oversight, particularly when we are in a position of real strength.

All you've done is slate Giles. Tell everyone who'd listen that he is rubbish. If he's gone surely that makes us stronger? Or are you doing your usual trick of moving the goalposts with your opinions when called out?

                                              Re: Sheaf just signed

Getting rid of Giles for me was about creating space and salary for a player who wanted to play for us and would improve us.

Hashi hopefully will do well but it’s a huge expectation for him to do this from day one.

We could have signed Hashi and kept Giles and we would be even stronger.

I don’t like Giles but he is better than nothing.

So it’s it’s not about moving the goal posts it’s about leaving window stronger and as it stands we are weaker as we haven’t covered Marv.

Finally the Giles deal helps us in what way? If Hull don’t want him come end of May we have a player who will have been devalued.

Just don’t want to blow this is we get an injury or suspension to Ross or Albert.

We have the money to make it easier OR recall Campbell.

I said last week that if we didn’t sign anyone then getting Campbell back should have been option.

Genuine question, do you think Berry is a stronger holding player than Al?
