Here you are WL, another yellow belly, but one who can see the writing on the wall:

We won’t make the playoffs because we have a threadbare squad, and are only a few injuries or fatigue away from being miles of play-off standard (people can suggest other teams are in the same position, but not many have a mountain of debt and are facing their first season with £0 in either parachute payments or PL TV revenue income next season, in nearly a decade) We have only really signed Dennis, but our problem is with clean sheets, and have lost other players, plus there are far too many other teams in and around us competing for just two spots, and we don’t have control over their form:

But.. we may as well enjoy it, because next season will be grim by comparison.

You're right - we should have spent a fortune like your lot did and end up with a set of forwards firing more blanks than Fat Reg.

Adalberto Peñaranda bought for £4.5 m in 2016.

4 Appearances, 2 goals (against Coventry in the League Cup).

I actually think there's something wrong with crowd spotter/scummer loyal/whateverothername he uses

He would rather see his shower of shit waste millions on dross (and that's why they are in loads of financial trouble) than see a bargain buy become a success - which to be fair, in their 80s heyday, Taylor/Watford did all the time and did it pretty well

I don't get the logic. He's just really, really weird

Imagine being so sad as to boast about paying transfer fees and wages that your club really can't afford to create losses as part of some form of elaborate multi-national tax fiddle

It's totally bizarre. I'd be fukking despairing if Luton were being run like that.

It's going to get worse - financially they appear to be in a lot of trouble and the A-team mothership might get relegated out of Serie A too

But it's very strange. He's like a little kid. I think his wiring is all wrong

Transfermarkt says £10.6m, from Udinese, which is kind of the actual point.

The original fee was £4.5m but at the time Pozzo had Granada as well as Udinese and there was a lot of shifting assets around....err, i mean money laundering so I'm sure at some point other dosh changed bank accounts to try to elude/confuse the authorities.

Sheffield Wednesday found Watford keeper Ben Hamer in excellent form as the play-off chasing Hornets held on for a point at Hillsborough.
Held on for a point...at a place destined for League one.

Less than that, I believe - we whipped him from under Huddersfield's noses according to a mate there.

They'd agreed £250k but wanted to pay in instalments and were dithering - we offered less but all up front, and he came to us.
