I fancied us to finish above Burnley even before the season started. They were great in the Championship last season but they play a version of football that essentially makes them a shitter version of Villa or Brighton. To make the step up and compete with superior teams you need something different about you, like we do (and Brentford before us). We also have a more experienced and humble manager who seems a lot more strategic and pragmatic than Kompany who is immediately trying to prove he's a world class Guardiola successor.

Summed up perfectly Brko. You seem to have a lot of managers trying to play champagne football with coca cola players.

You get the feeling with Brentford that if Toney stays fit they stay up. They could obviously do it without him still but with him they should be able to beat the drop.

We're effectively 8 and 10 points clear of those two.

                And STILL we get better!!!

                  We can catch Brentford now.

Only watched about 15 minutes. Man City is such a boring watch when they’re ahead. Just passing in the back line. Burnley’s players just standing there watching didn’t help. It was like the soccer episode of the Simpsons.
