FFP rules - one rule on some another for others...

Posted by Whhatter on 15/1/2024, 19:51:25

After what we were punished with years back I have no sympathy with these clubs being charged for FFP rules. However, the precedent seems to be that if you are a wealthy club, you will get away with it and if not you are fecked. United, City, Chelsea etc all surely guilty of some rule breaches??

What a shambles modern day football is.

What makes you think their guilty? Just curious.

The other clubs are in trouble for exceeding the 'allowable amount of loss'.

Man Utd don't lose money. The glazers won't allow that.

Hmmm, given their levels of debt they have to service it makes you wonder, then again I'm sure their revenues are fairly "healthy" to be fair.

It's OK, the Man City and Chelsea punishment is on hold to help us out next year. FA is going to eventually deduct 30 points from all other teams just to level the playing field for us!

Rumour has it they're saving Watford for last since their downward trajectory is likely going to have them non league within 5 years!

Forest and Everton have been charged with breaking FFP rules as a result of their accounts which were published in December. Chelsea & Man U haven't broken FFP rules (yet) hence, no charges. Chelsea could be interesting in the future.

City's is a far more complex and complicated situation hence the delays.

FFP rules are in place to stop owners saddling their clubs with huge debts and also to keep a relatively level playing field. I personally think FFP is good for the game although parts of it probably need tweaking

City are facing the most charges.

I think we broke much more than FFP rules

We paid an agent from the wrong bank account. Absolutely nothing to do with FFP.

Yet people you purport to support our club know nothing of the cause of our darkest decline. What we did gave us zero advantage except prevent the manager going mental as he hated agents yet they hit us with what they could. Utterly despicable. Long my the songs on the terraces continue.

                  Perhaps this will help:

The club was docked 30 points at the start of the season; 10 by The Football Association for irregular matters involving player transfers, and 20 by the Football League for breaking rules on exiting administration. As a result, the club finished bottom of the league and were relegated to the Conference Premier.

We're not so exalted as you...and sort of considered that we all knew the reasons without going into detail, but please, it's obvious you know it chapter and verse; educate us in case we've forgotten something.
If we have, we'll find some other team to support 😑

If you don't know our most recent history I suggest you try another sport rather than club. This one clearly doesn't interest you much. Cheers.
