As much as he got stuck into the Tory mp at the end, it's a pity the show ran out of time. I suspect given the opportunity Hislop would have continued and really put the boot into the whole shoddy political edifice that both of the MP's there represent.

Yes, I was enjoying Hislop tearing into that MP. We got a lot more than other shows though because Peston lacks authority.

Excellent RADSB, Hislop takes no prisoners and PE have been on the case for over a decade. 👏

          His anger looks genuine.

Interesting that Harman warned Blair of failures in the Horizon system in 1998, a year before Blair signed it off. I see also that the Treasury also warned Blair that there were failures.

May Major up until Sunak all knew but continue to either ignore or crack on giving these crooks contracts and honours.

              Blair was equally to blame.

Something seriously rotten in this country yet if it was anywhere else we would be pointing fingers.

The weakness of the Ministerial merry-go-round is also highlighted. Ministers start a job, meet everyone, hopefully get a grip of what's needed, what's wrong etc and then move on to another post meaning another amateur takes over and starts all over again.

I worked in the MoJ and a Minister said right "paperless offices" is the way to go. Delegations sent to Texas, Australia and other countries to look at their systems. Ten agency staff getting paid £1k a day for over a year to help out. Huge disruptions to many offices as we tried to figure it all out, delays for the public as a result. We did our best but meanwhile the Minister was walking into number 10 with...drum roll...a file of papers under his arm. Minister moved on, project fortunately cancelled, delays to the public to be sorted, another amateur moves in wanting to "make ther mark."

                  One could only imagine.

The infected blood scandal will be bigger than the P/O corruption but by the time any justice arrives the cohorts will be long gone with gold plated pensions secure.

Just read Cameron has used the official bullshit defence used during the Covid inquiry.

                  ‘ I DONT RECALL’

If ever I go in front of a judge I must use this line to see if it works for Joe Public.

Hopefully the evidence will be found that he and others were aware and did nothing, I won't hold my breath though

                      Indeed.

Maybe in 24 hrs in police custody, suspects should use the ‘I Don’t recall’ line instead of ‘no comment’

                      It works for the establishment.
