    Post Office

It seems to have all been said on the Morris goal last night, in any case Trafford would not have got to the ball even if Elijah was not in his way. So, it turns out that in 1998 the Labour government knew the Horizon system was flawed.

            Very desperate.

And of course forgetting who’s government commissioned the software and who then have been in government for the last 14 years while this all went on.

            The country needs a change.

Blair was warned about the bugs. His reply the the 'expert' was that the report needs to recommend the using of Horizon.
One assumes it was a decision not affected by Fujitsu's threat to close their factory in his constituency

All software has bugs, that w Windows is continually updating itself. But a computer should be able to do mathematical functions reliably, that’s what they SHOULD be good at!

TBH, I don't know where all this political finger pointing gets us. The real culprits are those who ran the Post Office. They're the ones who should be prosecuted for their actions.

If you're blaming Blair (and Starmer) you're blaming every PM since and every AG.

The institution of gov is corrupt is his point.

We all know this but claim democracy is wonderful when in reality it is as corrupt as any system available.

What the answer to this is is anyone’s guess.

You'd have a different opinion had it been on a Tory watch.

Yeah, none of this happened under the Tory watch at all.

Or that an Attorney General could have done anything about it.

Not like Sunak given Fujitsu more contracts etc.

But I don't think going down those avenues are helpful whatsoever. It's not Blair's fault. It's not Starmer's. It's not Cameron's or Blair's.

It's a systemic institutionalised failure. And those really to blame are those in charge at the Post Office.

That was my entire point. The political finger pointing isn't helpful and distracts from the real victims and culprits.

Seemingly, that sailed completely over your head.

Enjoy your weekend, my anonymous tiny chum.
