Do cup red cards count in the league?

If they win the replay, he will only miss one league game.

And there was me willing on the draw, hoping for ET + Everton lose on pens, team knackered and DCL misses three PL games.
Terrible red card decision? He went in studs up and foot off the ground. Contact was minimal but there was contact. That's a red card and if they appeal they will lose it.
Anyone who has played the game would realise that if Calvert-Lewin had any intent to hurt him then he would have. You could clearly see that he positioned his foot to avoid contact, If he wanted to "leave a bit" on the player all he'd had to do was keep his foot straight and he would have done some damage. If this is not overturned it will be one of the worse reds I have ever seen.
The worse thing about it is the ref had no where to go once he is called to the screen. His conscience still made him watch it several times before giving a red some what reluctantly in my view.
Just another reason to bin VAR

It’s one of the worst red card decisions I’ve seen.

Disagree. Woy summed it up in his post match interview. In today's game any player lunging into a tackle with his lead foot off the ground and studs up is likely to get a red card. He may have got away with it 10 years ago, but not in today's game. I would be surprised if Everton appeal it.
I’d say opposite. He was shaping his foot in such a way that he’d come away cleanly with the ball - which he did. Shocking decision that if had happened to us we’d be screaming from the rooftops about. IF Everton appeal I think they’ll win.
