Eric Dier, Harry Souttar and Emile Smith Rowe

Would be good targets for the January transfer window IMO.

All gettable and would suit the Luton ethos.

Conor Coady? Lockyer replacement in centre of a 3?

See Coady has only played 7 games so far for Leicester.

Good experienced player, always seems to have done well on odd occasions I've seen him play.

How does the loan market work - Only 2 premier league loans I understand. But loans from elsewhere how do they work/limit?

For loans, I'd think the parent clubs would have to pay most of the wages fro Dier and Smith-Rowe. Souttar probably the same tbh.

For transfers, you'd be asking them all to take a pay cut. So unlikely. Dier might be open to moving for game time, but he could probably get the wages he wants and game time at multiple PL teams.

        All fair points Vladimir.

I think we could afford to buy Souttar.

Dier’s contract is up at the end of the season and is currently 6th choice at Spurs. It would be a gamble for him and like you say, a drop in wages but he needs to put himself in the shop window if he wants to continue his career in the PL. Luton would be the perfect platform for him.

ESR is the least likely but I think he’d be dynamite for us.

Any loan signings from PL clubs would mean having to either send Kabore and/or Sambi back or sign them on permanent deals

and we are already signing a lad from Plymouth, some bloke from Columbia, and some other bloke from somewhere else that I can't remember.

But of course we are selling Mengi to Palace or Fulham, and Barkley is going to Everton so perhaps there is room

Souttar yeah, not sure on the other 2 though, North London types tend to have a massive rod up their arses.
