    OK some may have technically been MD not chairman.. but point stands. I`m going to give it to Gurney - but thankful at least he didnt have the intelligence to cause too much damage

      I am not voting on this, but, anyone voting on Evans will be voting on his politics more then anything else. Gurney was a result of a whole lot of circumstances, after MWC needed to relieve his interests because of the financial circumstances of the time, as well as his age. Pinkney was probably led into it it by Jayten. Mitchell was not the chairman as far as I know, Nelkin was I believe in cahoots with Kohler, and neither had the balls to realise that Jimmy Ryan had performed miracles, in the plural, to keep Luton in the top flight with no financial support, and hoped that they would benefit from the club. Cliff Bassett was never chairman as far as I am aware. The Jayten situation itself was by far the most severe ownership of the Club in my lifetime, starting off with the Tricentrol influence in the 70's. They insulted the fans after their takeover and cancelled the popular football trains after the train was attacked on its return from an away game by the home fans and blaming the Luton fans for causing trouble on the train.They then followed it up by running Tricentrol coaches to the away games, bastards They then had the opportunity to get back in as Jayten, and were by far the most corrupt owners this club has ever known in my lifetime. Thank God for our present ownership, again in my lifetime the best owners we could possibly have dreamed of. Amen to that

        I think anyone voting for Evans might be taking into account the substantial interest he charged the club on his loans and his selling KR. Granted the latter action may have kept asset strippers at bay and so inadvertently had a beneficial effect, but you can bet your life that that would have been the last thing on Evans’ mind.

        All of the names on this list deserve a vote.

                  As someone that had dealings with both Pinkney & Kohler I can assure you Pinkney was much worse and was more than happy to take us to oblivion.
