    Goal keeper subs

I see on Boxing Day we named 2 as subs ?
Why not just the one which would leave another outfield option?

Clark was supposed to be a sub, but he got sick before the match. As it was an away game, it was too late to call up a replacement to get there in time. Presumably Shea goes to every game to even though he doesn't make the bench.

Most teams would take a third keeper with them in case one of the other two is injured or ill.

Krul and Shea were going to come on as strikers if we were level late on

Bit like David James coming in as Striker under Stuart Pearce
