Suffered from a stress fracture in his back and been out most of the season they have decided to send him back and use the money to get another loan in
Why on earth would we bring in an unfit player who hasn’t played all season?
Let alone a consideration on whether he is or ever will be more than a League 1 or 2 player.
He needs to go back out on loan immediately.
Or when fully recovered.

That old chestnut again about needing "experience". It's a red herring. Steve Bruce is an experienced manager but not very good. Nathan Jones wasn't experienced when he first came to us but was fantastic.
Not saying Thorpe is necessarily right for us now but I just think the whole "experience" argument is completely duff. Even after Sheff Utd RE said about Townsend and Barkley that we didn't get them just because they're experienced.
If they're good enough they're good enough. End of.
Well he is a midfielder perhaps bringing him back means lokonga is going back and we're getting someone else in a different in on loan. The club have been reportedly inundated with lots of loan offers for players.
