Ross Barkley for Euro’s?

On current form, yes!
But unfortunately Southgate will pick his favourites like Henderson and Phillips.
In 48 years I'm not sure I've seen better at the club, can't remember a player I enjoy watching as much, I just love it when he receives the ball. The bloke is utter class, we all know why he won't make the squad, would love to see him along side Bellingham.
Barkley is class and if he had pace would be off the scale but its the one thing he is slightly lacking in.... but onions vary.... After less than 20 games he can't be put in the same bracket as Ricky Hill, Hill had everything and did it consistently in the top division for many years... Love Ross but he's not Ricky (not yet anyway)
Interesting point of view....football these days played on impeccable suffices with ballers like Ross being relatively protect by the law changes and ref's .... in Ricky's day he had play on ploughed fields of pitches and with opponents trying to break his legs in every tackle ..... this is not a dig at Ross, as I said really impressed with him but in a Luton shirt is still some way behind Ricky (obviously this is only my opinion, each to their own)
why won't he make the squad ? In all honesty the same ones calling for him to be picked will be the first ones having a tantrum if he was picked and got injured while away. Personally I wouldn't take the same satisfaction I did when Ricky or Bruno got a cap
Its a newish role for him. Sits deeper than perhaps hie did in his youth, and orchestrates play like a conductor. Comfortable on the ball, drives forward and has a great pass.
Million times better than either Henderson, who shouldnt even be close to being involved, and Phillips, who i do like, but has zero game time.
Obviously, that means he has zero chance. And Southgate isnt the gambling type.
Zero chance - Barkley is far too positive, doesn’t pass sideways and backwards anywhere near enough, plus he is playing regularly and really well in the best league in the world. Southgate is clueless but I don’t care it’s whatever keeps Ross in the best form he has shown for years
