      Locks not worth a mention?
And our captain 10 years ago - McNulty
The two that have captained us to our most crucial promotions.

You could also mention Ronnie Henry. He wouldn't be top of my list but he deserves a mention in despatches.

            Where’s the option for

At a guess I would think it's no. 4 on the list.

              That is a tricky one!
I’ve gone for Foster as he was the skipper for our crowning moment at Wembley in 88, and was skipper throughout the period we had (cue controversy) our best team ever but, Horton also for me deserves a shout for the way he marshalled that team into title winners and keeping us up the following year.
              Great poll though.

Correct. It was Alan West back then.

Hard as nails Bill Jennings. As Captain, Bill played 117 times at centre or wing half between 1922 and 1925 scoring 2 goals. Whenever Luton took the lead Bill used to roll up his sleeves and tell his team mates "Over my Dead Body."

excuse my lack of interpretation but

did he mean, over my dead body we are losing this now, or some such meaning?
