What an inspirational professional he is. Gifted, hard working, humble.
He got the goal and was a threat all game but he ran like a teenager too, pressing the geordie defence into countless errors.
Massive credit to him and also to our talent dept for taking a bet on him. Hope he stays longer

Totally agree. I get why many want Ogbene to start as going forward he is very exciting. However we have to stay in games and Townsend is a very clever player who defends exceptionally well for a forward. Fantastic work rate and for me would be one of the first names on the team sheet. It was very noticeable yesterday that both he and Carlton were very vocal in there encouragement for Giles who got caught out a couple of times and got a bit of a roasting from our bench. The lad is definitely suffering from a lack of confidence…looks a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlines at times …however he has talent.

His attitude since day 1 has been exceptional.
The guy has played and scored several times for England. He could've gone the direction of someone like Jesse Lingard where he strolled around, got a lot of money in the bank and just collected another pay check each week.
He gets Luton. He seems to care deeply about the club and it's success. I think he would be desperate to stay past January.
I also think he's helped Ross Barkley - he seems to be on the same "level".
