    Is (Luton) Townsend Captain Material?

Edwards made an interesting comment post-match, saying he showed lots of "leadership material" today.

Was the best game he had today, imo. With his experience, could be a sound bet. The switching him up for Morris after 60 seems to be working, too.

        Don’t see why not.

A football captain is not really making specific decisions during games like rugby/cricket captains are, but if you’re looking for an experienced player who is happy marshalling the troops and leading by example, then AT ticks all the boxes.

Great to see both him and Ross Barkley seemingly enjoying their football again after their careers tailed off a bit. Seems our path crossed their’s at a time that has suited everybody.

Still a bit surreal that having watched both ply their trade at big clubs in PL whilst we were well down the pyramid, they’re now with us…

I said it during the week , he's the obvious choice, he has experience and leadership qualities and he is very vocal , as you put Rob has said he is " leadership material.

I'd agree but he doesn't tend to last the ninety minutes (understandably) and you often need your captain most in the closing stages.

On the occasions I have heard him do media work he comes across very well.

Very 'Luton' in fact. Humble. Decent.
