Prem rules are that game will be replayed in full

Perhaps common sense could be applied in this instance, but I doubt it.

That's the only option though, surely?

      What else would you do?

Coz I’m a sentimental old duffer I’d give a point each. That will be a difficult revisit for all concerned on the day/night.

Apparently you could also just play the remaining forty odd minutes or call the game as a draw. According to talksport anyway.

I wonder if just calling the game a draw will leave them open to issues further down the line if for example will stay up by just 1 point? Would the relegated team threaten legal action?

I guess they could agree to call it a draw but it would be highly unusual as it was suspended on 65 minutes. Well short of the final whistle. I guess they could just call it a draw but I think it would be unprecedented or close to it.

And it would be a strange thing to get everyone back there for just 25 minutes or so of play.

I think there’s no alternative but to replay it in full. That would be the fairest way for all concerned.

I hate to bring this up in this situation but the York snow match was abandoned on/around the 65th minute mark. I dearly hope, and I’m sure it will happen, AFCB will honour all tickets previously purchased as that isn’t necessarily an obligation.

Also, resuming from where play stopped would require same players to be available which cant be guaranteed. Only practical option is to replay in full.

Sorry, yes, thirty odd minutes not forty.

Id he very surprised if it wasn't replayed in full. Take the Forest v Liverpool semi final after Hillsborough which was a much greater thing. That was replayed although Forest only sold a fraction of their allocation. And I know it was a cup match but if an incident of that magnitude occurs and is replayed then why shouldn't this? I can't recall what happened regarding Bradford v Lincoln.

Bradford v Lincoln wasn’t replayed and was deemed a draw, but it was the last game of the season and so it was known that it had no material effect on the table.
