    Golf trolley winter wheels

    Posted by Bilko on 14/12/2023, 13:36:31

    My golf course is bringing in a policy stating winter wheels must be used.
    Usually carry but have recently been using a Moto Caddy S1 push trolley.
    Question is are Hedgehogs any good or should I get winter wheels by Moto Caddy?

      Hedgehogs are banned on our course as they rip up the turf, they were very popular when they were first introduced but don’t see any now

      Hedghogs always work fine on my push trolley although I put a couple of small screws in each one to stop slippage

          probably best to post on here:

          But the honest answer is you should always carry in the winter anyway, because trollies (no matetr which wheels), will always damage the grass when muddy.

              East suffolk mainly clay based.
              Thanks for the link.

              @both.
              I agree and usually carry.
              Carry on the the course is preferred, unfortunately due to injury carrying is not an option at the moment.

              @KO the Saturday collection of liars, swindlers and thieves (of which I have the honour of being secretary) have an annual 4 club challenge, scores don't change much.

                I'm at Batchworth Park (Ricky) which is also mostly clay based, so a bit of a bog at the moment (9 holes currently closed).

                  Usually the course is open but the amount of rain has made a difference here.
                  On going drainage project being beefed up.
