    Did he say that?

Not sure how they have twisted what Edwards said to fit the narrative that they are trying to portray.

Well it is the Daily Mirror would you expect anything other than fairy stories in that rag.

RE did say all the things he's quoted. However, it's impressive journalistic gymnastics to come to that conclusion from what he said. Personally, when I was listening to it live I thought he was basically saying we needed to be physical, certainly nothing specifically related to their keeper.

Don't want the truth getting in the way of their story.

It's just the state of mediocre journalism isn't it.

If I stated "there was a goose in the garden yesterday"

it would instantly be reported as
"pensioner fears for his life as monster goose rampages through his garden"

But at least you would have mentioned a goose whereas Edwards didn't mention or even seem to, in any way, refer to Raya.

Yes I'll give you that one

Maybe the journo thought RE saying ""We wanted to make it uncomfortable for them" meant "we're gonna have a shot at goal hope their keeper is shit"

                  That paper tomorrow . . .

"Source close to Edwards confirms that Luton deliberately targeted Arsenal keeper"

Too late I'm afraid, the cat from next door chased it away*
