    Mental Fortitude

And the ability to operate under pressure is what separates the good from the great.

Let’s acknowledge the gap in quality and depth of squad of one of the best teams in world football right now who may end up winning the prem. tactically and technically excellent and surprisingly physical also.

We were amazing and our togetherness and organisation took them to the brink. RB best player on the pitch

Rice was the best player on the pitch but Barkley was not far behind

Plus a 105 million pound midfield player.

exactly, thats why hes £105m. because the chance of him buckling under pressure are less.

Yes but the fact that Rice is one of the most talented midfield players in the world helps a bit as well.
The way we went about our job last night also showed great mental fortitude as well,we didn't fold, really proud of the performance and our club today.
If the game only went to 95 minutes last night we wouldn't be talking about Arsenal's fortitude, but it did, if your uncles your aunt etc etc.
Hope we can raise that again on Sunday and as Arteta alluded, we need to create that atmosphere again.

Yeah I don't think there's anything wrong with our mental strength. It was our physical energy that started to fade last night.

We don't lose that if Lockyer and Nakamba had played

The season so far has been really good, by and large, but it's packed with what-might-have-beens

I think we're incredibly unlucky to only have 5 points from 7 games at home. Could easily be over double that. But it's not and we have to get points soon or the 2nd half of the season could be a bit of an anti-climax

I think away from home is where we've been found wanting even though we only have 1 less point. The tactics need to change on the road

its all about mentality mate, being strong enough in adversity. something we have lacked in too many games.

In some games but not generally. 1-0 and 2-1 down last night and didn't buckle. Forest comeback, digging in against Everton and Palace. Didn't think there was anything wrong with the mentality last night. Just got tired and the better players found a way

We have stayed in most games until the end. I suppose if you're talking specifically about concentration then, yeah, sometimes we switch off. The trait of us conceding within a couple of minutes of scoring ourselves is a concern

As I say a massive factor in yesterday's result was no Lockyer and no Nakamba. Huge misses, especially Nakamba

and the conceding after scoring is exactly where im going (along with late goals).

you have to concentrate and stay strong.

acknowledge forest, palace and everton. it needs to be consistent.

Agree with your point fully. If I think about who has been good at grabbing us by the balls and doing this in the past? It was when the spine went through two or three players

                        Henry & McNulty & Guttridge
                        Nicholls & Howard & Coyne

We need the combo of two or three fully, fully switched on like you said - it could be Barkley, Morris & Lockyer. Doesn't always need to be the very best does it

not slating us by any means here. its that 1% difference (that is so easy to achieve) that makes the difference.

I also think KR at times is starting to feel a little like the -30 season. Lots of nerves and do or die feeling. Which I'm not sure helps.

I think we've been really good at home (the West Ham game and 1st halves Burnley and Palace aside)

As I've said elsewhere really unlucky to only have 5 points from our home games so far

the top teams just keep going ,Liverpool in the 80,s United after them. Just find ways to win. We've had teams in the past that have some the same.
