When he went off, thought we were weak down that side, Chong was running around pointing at this and that, and got nowhere near anything.
Is Rob, protecting Townsend a bit?
However really proud of the team tonight, Hilarious how Arsenal celebrated at the end, says everything !

Townsend is doing a lot of good work closing down and pressing that doesn't really get recognised. its only when he goes off and is replaced by the likes of Chong, you can see a glaring difference. Also Morris looked well off it when he came on, so in summary our substitutions made us weaker and more vulnerable, leading us to hang on towards the end

Agree with that. Been very impressed with Townsends work rate off the ball, like you say, not always noticeable but incredibly important to the team.

Yes Townsend helped to tie up that flank and when he went off Chong wasn’t as good. I prefer Chong in the number 10 role.

Read Artetas post match comments. Very respectful and in a way, they celebrated that, as if we're against Spurs or United which is a credit and compliment to us.

Any team who scores with last kick of the game would celebrate like that. Heck they would even do it against a lower league team like Watford. And strangely i didn't find it the least bit funny.

I wonder if Nathan Jones’ legs have recovered from his knee slide in front of the Oak Road when Naismith scored that very late one against Bournemouth! I might have to give the Simon Oxley commentary another listen!
