    Brown’s Goal

Posted by Northants Hatter on 27/11/2023, 12:31:42

Brown’s goal on Saturday was an excellent show of desire to get on to a fantastic cross from Ogbene.

But he arguably uses the “wrong” foot and had the same technique Eli used against Spurs that resulted in that poor miss.

Just goes to show the fine margins in football and how we shouldn’t get on a striker’s back if their instinctive finishing doesn’t quite work out.

With finishing like that he can use the wrong foot every time

I think for Brown any player sliding in like that would do so using their stronger foot - almost like an instinctive reaction.

Would be hard to imagine sliding as he did with your weaker foot.

The miss against Spurs was appalling and basically unacceptable from a professional footballer.

The miss by Richarlison was even worse in the same game and he cost millions.

At some stage, with professional counselling and lots of love and support, you'll have to get over this.

Nothing like keeping things in perspective.

Drivel, they all miss chances like that from time to time. Even Haaland is missing easy chances this year and take the Nunez one against us, the really bad one, he missed several, that was actually worse!

Even their winner was a simple headed chance and he only scored by a fluke off the shoulder.
