    Player values

Obviously the value of the squad is increasing every week as so many players showing they can play at this level.
If we were to go down I originally thought we would keep most of the squad together having almost prepared for another push next season. But now feels like big bids would come in for the likes of Kaminski, Doughty, Osho, Ogbene, Menghi…so whatever happens the club is very well positioned for future success.
If we stay up I imagine we keep most of them and even possibly Barkley and Townsend. I like these kind of dilemmas than when we sacked G Jones because we were staring at League One….no stress at all!!

but if we go down is not the assumption these players have not performed at this level? Relegated players are not always in demand (I am not saying that any of the players you mentioned will not be in demand just that if they play terrible from now until May then the value may drop)

If they play terribly of.course - but even if we maintain yesterdays levels it is still going to be a tight season.
I think we are mostly dependent on Barkley, Ogbene, Nakamba, Menghi, Doughty…all staying fit and playing the majority of the season. A couple of those out and it will be very tough

I said that a few weeks ago - a case in point being 2 players who left Southampton for a combined £80m in the summer. I’m not saying we’d get that sort of money but I do think there’s players in and around the team who would attract 8 digit figures.
