Love the guy to bits, but today alas, he was not anywhere near the game.
His train of thought it a still in Div 1 at times, would love him to step up another level..

It’s the speed of the game at this level that gets me. The telly doesn’t do it justice, but when you’re a few feet away from it you can really appreciate the pace of play.
I imagine it’s that part that is the biggest hurdle for a lot of players- less about the technical ability part and more about the split second decision making.
Only have to look at Ross Barkley. Obviously has technical ability in spades, but his decision making is exceptional.

I think Pelly's decision making has always been his weakness, but each season he seems to get better at it, and this is why he's gone from bottom to top division.

True, he’s been written off by some each time we’ve gone up a level, only to prove his doubters wrong every time. He took a little while to acclimatise to the Championship, but he was a massive part in our success once he did.
I suspect that starts may be limited this season, but his name is forever etched in LTFC folklore regardless.

We've played so well in our last three matches, if, as likely we don't stay up, we'll take our experience to the Championship and be so much stronger.

I think our recruitment in that regard has been exceptional to be honest. Some of the criticism in the media because we hadn’t sold the family silver to bring in shedloads of “Premier League quality” is starting to look a bit foolish now. Somehow, we have done a fine job of having a go at staying in this league whilst keeping one eye on the real possibility of going down. A lot of clubs should watch and learn from our approach.
Look at today, a winger on a free from Rotherham needing 3 men on him to try and keep him quiet, a keeper brought up from the Championship pulling out save after save, with the winner scored by a lad picked up from Stoke. There is more to football than filling your squad with over priced, over paid mercenaries looking for easy money, which we’re demonstrating. Throw in a couple of top quality lads with a point to prove such as Barkley and Townsend and you have a real punchers chance, without being financially crippled if relegation does happen.
We should be used as a case study in how to run a football club quite frankly.
Wow that didn't take long

You obviously know more than Rob Edwards,Nathan Jones, Mick Harford, John Still and Graham Jones (quite possible the last one you do) ... and managers of Leeds,Blackburn and Middlesbrough

Thought Pelly was competitive and used / kept the ball well.
To be fair Pelly has been proving our fans wrong for 10 years. Deserves massive credit. He is a massive part of our success

Didn’t notice Pelly today so he must have played okay.
