i get this freedom of speech argument, but what help is that to the club if our own “fans” are going balls deep on the players and manager?

Used to be done in the pub in Saturday night. It's always happened, but they always turn up next game. I guess you have to make allowances for knee-jerk reactions, not everyone can be philosophical when their club turns in a shit one. Hopefully, there's room for all in the game, it'd be a shame if there wasn't 🥺

It's probably always been this way, but there's now just a massive platform for absolute plebs to spout negeative shite, and give their 'hot take'.
I don't know what they get from it, but their lives but be pretty bleak.

Don't know about other online locations but on here it always seems to be multi-name trolls pretending to be Luton fans trying to sh1t stir at every opportunity, ultimately to try to a negative effect on our club. I commented (legitimately in my opinion) last week that our attack is a bit too tame, too slow, and needs to be faster and a bit more by the skin of our teeth as Pleat's early 80s teams were. Any legitimate comments like mine from genuine Luton fans unfortunately then gets pounced upon and amplified often to the point of absurdity by the non Luton trolls. It would be brilliant to unmask whoever the trolls are one day, if that were ever to be possible. And then there are the odd Luton fans who pretend to be non-Luton fans posing as Luton fans. Presumably because it amuses them, I can't think of any other reason why they would do that. I wonder what Carl Jung would make of it all?

Haven't been on twitter nor Facebook but the classic I've seen previously is "what is the point of promotion to the prem if we ain't going to spend, spend, SPEND..."
I dunno why some people bother following football to be honest. Just seems to make them miserable and they take it far too seriously. There's one individual who seems to always be on Facebook being a classic example. I hardly go on there and he's always on there whining about something and putting the club down. It must be a tiring, awful existence
The achievements of this club and, still, some are never happy. I acknowledge last night was pretty disappointing but, blimey, the first sign of weakness and some can't wait to put the boot in through public media channels. Weird
The Premier League breeds this kind of attitude, fans see other clubs spending extortionate amounts of money and think all clubs should do and can do the same. The one that riles me at games is when I hear Luton are a "Premier League" team, as though that reason should give us some superiority over teams not in the Premier League.
We are in my opinion a team playing in the Premier League, there is a subtle difference.

MM, specifically in the PL (and also generally), is freakish.

That rage, sense of entitlement and lack of self awareness that we enjoyed highlighting (and took the piss out of) in other fanbases... it's taken one poor cup exit and 5 tough prem league games for some of our lot to adopt the exact same traits

Agreed. The number of people who said after Saturday ‘they (not we) should have won”. The players are what we have and they are doing their best, what more can you ask?
Ultimately. It's hard if you're a football fan to accept losing more often than not. However nail on head here. Are the players doing their best? . Yes 100 per cent. Are they good enough at this level. maybe not. Different thing that.
