Unless you took 2 days off work difficult fixture to attend. What was the fan base like last night . Was it mainly retired people ?

It was mainly people who have jumped on the bandwagon since the promotion win and were unlucky not to be able to secure season tickets.

Based on those who travelled by coach (and those who I saw at the game), that was certainly not the case.

Also, not all of those without STs have "jumped on the bandwagon". Several have been on the ST waiting list for several years and have travelled regularly in recent years but have struggled to get away tickets because people who haven't travelled away previously have priority because they are diamond STHs. In some cases, they are the "bandwagon jumpers" rather than those who haven't been able to get tickets for several of this season's games.

I understand why diamonds have priority but accusations about jumping on the bandwagon are sometimes being pointed in the wrong direction.

No-one hasn't been able to travel purely down to Diamond STHs . . . there will be normal STHs in that category too.

I accept what you are saying but many (not all) STHs who get tickets will have been to several away games last season.

But it's the same with Diamonds so why single them out?

If they are "bandwagon jumpers" who are committed enough to go to Exeter on a Tuesday night then fair play to them. Sound like exactly the sort of new fans that will be great to have and we will need ahead of the PC move.

Why do you need two days off? I got home just before 4 o'clock and got to bed at just after 4.30. The alarm went off at 7.30 to get up to do various things for Mrs O before coming to work.

As always, there was a wide range of ages there.

Left LU5 at 130pm arrived LU5 at 140am. Usual suspects were there. Highlight of the day was having a drink in the pub with GS, MW, SB and a long chat with a very quiet man who has invested an unbelievable amount into the club and we’re taking £M
What a story he’s got. For another day that one though.

Looked like the usual mix to me. I was on the terrace. Most of the noise was coming from the 20/30/40 year olds behind the goal.

Some youngsters with their parents were also there. One young lad got a bit teary at the end. I knew how he felt!

Don’t know about the age profile in the stand, I was too far away.
