Re your response below. I know you cannot get down to Luton very often but it must be 2/3 years ago that Norms curried goat was £5.00. It is now £8.00 per portion!

Ate my last hot dog from the truck on Beech Path, £7:00 and I told her.
I'll pop in Sainsbury's for a sandwich on the way to the ground.
Of course I can afford £7:00 for a hot dog, don't like piss takers.

Not sure if you've noticed but food prices have risen enormously in the past year.

A fiver was a fair price for a hot dog. Add 35% to that and that's not far off seven quid.

When you factor in the rise in the cost of energy prices to cook the things too, seven quid probably means the 'piss takers' probably aren't making any more profit whatsoever.

But yeah, you sock it to The Man by going to Sainsbury's instead, where their profit margins definitely definitely aren't taking the piss!

Far too expensive for what it is.

I like norms and I don't mind paying £8, but the queues to get food and drinks at the ground have been a bit too long for me.

Last season I queued for a good 20mins for Norms. Ive seen the queues and not even attempted it this season.
There's plenty of good quality places near the ground to go that are less busy so I tend to do that now

So is virtually everything. Beer is about £5 a pint for essentially a pint of water flavoured with hops and barley.

                not even a pint

They were serving it in 500ml cups on Saturday

But an awful amount of labour required to change it into beer and get it to the end user. Not just a bit of hand waving

Maybe but hopefully you get my broader point. People spend stupid money on things that cost a fraction to produce.

Things are only expensive when needed not if just wanted

                        Really?
                        Isn't Norms a want not a need?
                        What about football shirts?
They're wanted, not needed, and are one of the biggest rip-offs around.
Or have I misunderstood your post?
