Mini League

In that context are we so bad? Yes we can't score but we do have a bit about us creatively - Burnley, Shef Utd, Bournmouth, Forest, Fulham, Everton, Wolves don't really look like good teams. Not as pessimistic after this weekend than last. Everton a big game - need to set up for a point and try a smash and grab!

From what I've seen of the others, if we could up our game goal scoring wise, we would not be one of the worst 3 in the PL

I suspect that list is pretty much what most of us thought pre season (I did wonder whether palace might struggle but seems they are ticking along ok for now). A list that long should encourage us all but it’s still dependent on us getting something slightly north of 30 points, not impossible if you take the view that we were better than our last 2 opponents and could’ve grabbed 6 points, but very unlikely if you face the reality that we had loads of good chances vs Fulham and pummelled wolves but only have a point to show for it!! Probably best to just keep enjoying it and also enjoying the fact we, as a club, are different gravy from that mob down the mob, Southampton, middlesborough etc etc

In that context at least only 7 teams will finish above you

And we still get to keep the 170 million.

Really! £170m, wow. And they are in debt by £125m at least with parachute payments already spent. That's a £295m gap.

It's what I hate about the Premier league - 5 teams (if that) with a chance of winning it, 5 or 6 teams battling to stay up, the rest there to give everyone a game. Always thought that maybe it's more fun football wise getting to the Premier league than it is being there......

"5 teams (if that) with a chance of winning it"
I reckon that's about 4 too many.

A Burnley fan said just that to me after they beat us last season. I've seen other similar comments.
Forest have just about established themselves in the PL but what now? Just survive each season with the odd win against one of the top teams, or a last minute goal as the highlight of the season. It soon erodes the atmos as we have seen already.
