    Penalties

Posted by Hatsworth on 24/9/2023, 11:22:17

It hard not to be bitter, but to be clear:
If you kick a ball up in the air and it hits your hand that’s above your head, that’s not a penalty or a free kick in any situation.
If a ball travels 30 yards without touching anyone at all and hits your arm above your head, that’s not a penalty either?

And does that work both ways? Assuming it does (can’t reallyhave different rules for attackers and defenders) then it’s about time the British press stopped banging on about Diego maradonna. Fair goal.

It’s absolute nonsense. That was a penalty all day long and all night too. The red card however was harsh, imo. Locks did him over.

Handball, like offside, has become far too complicated and open to interpretation. We've fiddled with the laws to the point where we've f**ked them up

What part exactly is -their player deliberately kicked Locks in the thigh - is Lock "doing their player over"?

I thought they were tussling and he pushed him off more than kicked him. I thought it was harsh, but by the letter of the law a red I’m sure. if locks had not reacted like that it wouldn’t have been given. Or even seen. What I mean was that for the whole incident locks was engaged in a bit of hyltonesque sh!thousery, which is welcome 😀

            I think that's crap.

I'd love it to be true though given the way that the Wolves players were throwing themselves to the ground, writhing about in agony and then recovering before a physio came on all game. It really would have been genuine karma. Given our form their time-wasting at 0-0 was embarrassing.

Their player jabbed his studs into Locks leg.
              Sending off 100%.
