We are looking to revamp the website. Here's the front runner. Any views please?

We are working on the advert - "great history deserves great food" is the frontrunner atm

          Syd Owen

I think B(illy) Wright is well aware who Syd Owen is/was, a considerably better centre half than he and a much better team captain. Should have stuck to lusting over the Beverly Sisters.

Speaking of whom, he's also in the background montage twice, above and below. A bit too much, even for our only FL Player of the Year?

Exactly, he is rarely mentioned today
& yet he is arguably our finest ever player.
To have won Footballer of the Year says it all.

Good spot. That's too much but I think it's just some random wallpaper the designer put on quickly to save time.

slightly larger point size for the news text would save having to zoom or enlarge for those viewing on smaller screen or tablet

Personally I'd reverse the order with About Us, then Latest News, then Search.

              Looking good though.

Thanks. Search at the bottom? We thought it would be the most used thing so wanted it at the top. There is an "About Us" on the menu bar.

I'm not keen on the rips or the "Explore the Rich...etc". Our constitution states - "The objects of the Society are for the advancement of education to benefit the public by encouraging the preservation and appreciation of the heritage and history of Luton Town Football Club." So maybe a cut down version of that instead?

If they want to search they'll go straight to it wherever it is.

The purpose of a home page, to me, is to catch the attention and immediately identify who you and what you're about or to promote your key message/s.

rips??? not sure what you're referring to?

I personally quite like 'Explore the rich history' as it's a 'what it says on the can' type statement.

Maybe you could add something like

Collecting, preserving and promoting our heritage for all to enjoy and appreciate

That could replace the About Us as a header for the three pics

All good stuff, thanks very much.

The rips are the ripped paper effect on 5 minute reads, longer reads, Youtube etc.

You mean they're not subliminal parchment scrolls, representing history?*

I can see your point. Maybe ask the designer to look again, but they're not bad.
