    Tv revenue in the prem

Just see a news article on BBC sport about broadcasters and the premier league meeting to discuss new deals and fixtures congestion. Broadcaster nbc in America are paying 2 billion pounds to show games till 2028 and then add the 3 in the UK sky,tnt Nd amazon who are at the min paying 5 billion collectively till 2025. Surely its an incentive to get the results and get another season at least in the premier league

And new TV deal being signed from next sesson with 25 per cent more games being shown live and 6.30pm KOs off Sunday being mooted.

PL ate more concerned about Yanks watching on TV than fans in England who go to games.

Of course they are, when SKY first got involved I said that eventually spectators at the game would become a necessary evil that clubs would rather do without. Covid may have shown that empty stadiums are not great but certainly the TV companies and it seems the people selling the rights to them couldn't give a shite about the fans that go to games.

The incentive is to work hard and try to stay up- i doubt any coaching or management teams uses the income streams as a carrot on a stick .
