    Sheffield Weds v Middlesbrough

What an absolutely awful, awful match. If anyone is genuinely worried about our current position have a look at this. Don’t see many games where both teams are booed off

I went with a QPR mate to see their game last night. If anyone moans about where we're at or how we're playing, they should be prescribed a dose of having to watch QPR v Swansea. Both teams were awful. I knew QPR are pretty bad these days, but I was shocked at how poor Swansea were.

So is there a lack of quality per se outside the very richest clubs?

I would imanage both had a far larger wage budget than we did last season.

So clubs are overpaying for poor quality players in a vain attempt to compete?

Just seemed in the mid-80s most teams had equal share of quality and hence made it much more competitive.

Back then the money was spread more evenly, and certain clubs didn't stockpile players from the age of 8

So in theory that should create a bigger pool of better players.

But it doesn’t, give me the Chiltern Youth League and EAYC any day.

Proper youth football and only the best got deals.

It might produce a bigger pool, but they're all at a small selection of clubs where they're used as assets for FFP purposes
