Discussing bottom teams, pundits said more chance of winning games by going for it rather than sitting with 10 behind ball and hoping to score on break . I agree, think Edwards needs to be braver

Spurs were a counter attacking team for most of last season, they did ok.
I think it’s the best way to play away from home against atop half team. Lower teams not so much.

That's why they are pundits and not managing. It's easy to make decisions from an armchair

The analysis in the Times yesterday was very interesting. Can’t get the graphics on here, but a couple of points stood out to me:

Out of possession, Luton look to press high then transition into a 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 defensive block. But at the moment, they haven’t quite got the balance right, and have a tendency to fall back into that block too early, with not enough pressure on the ball.

It’s early days, but so far Luton are one of the least intense teams in the Premier League out of possession: they’re allowing their opponents 23 and a half passes for every defensive action they make.

Compare that to Brentford (10), Spurs (9), Palace (12), Wolves (14), Burnley (14), Everton (14). The only team higher than us is Forest (24). Next “worst” is Fulham at 17.

Last season our intensity was one of the key reasons for our success. Whilst I understand the fear that trying to do that in the PL is naive, the stats don’t bear that out for everyone else. We have become too passive.

Isn't this analysis a little lopsided as we've played only one game at home? Low block away from home is probably the way to go but I could imagine our intensity will increase in home games, especially bottom half teams.

Interesting when reviewing the 3 promoted clubs they didn't mention Luton once! all about Burnley and Sheff Utd

I thought that but Luton sat back most of the game over the weekend but created some of the best chances of the game and should have at least scored one so those tactics nearly worked. Maybe he needs to mix and match depending on the opponents.

Just think all this staying in game and trying to snatch a goal in last time won't work this season, need to play like last 15 Saturday from the start

Sorry, I don't understand your point - keeping it tight at the back and creating four good chances seems a decent approach. As I said earlier, we could easily have been at least two up by just after half time before they scored a goal that wouldn't have happened if the referee had done his job properly.

Yes but let's be honest ,Fulham had all the possession and were on the front foot the whole game , we could have done that to them ,that was a game we should be proactive

Ok ,I see where you coming from but we haven't got quality goalscorer that will score every other chance ,we just need to create more to increase our chances of grabbing a goal or 2
