So it seems Russell Brand can be added to the list of bad uns who have been allowed to behave with impunity within the celebrity world. Having watched the ch4 programme this morning thinking that I was going to see a bit of a witch hunt my opinion is very much changed. What hit home is the same pattern of a celeb being so protected by ‘the industry’ and those around him that he gained untouchable status not dissimilar to that of Saville. God knows how many lives he has disrupted and destroyed, any lessons leant from the Saville enquiry? It appears not! Now for weeks or passing the blame and then back slapping among the elite that it couldn’t possibly happen again due to such robust safe guarding now being in place! Wonder if Brand is the high profile pervert Catherine Ryan couldn’t name.
Oh okay will have to watch it, I thought it seems a bit fishy that he’s spent the last six months digging up dirt and criticising the American government and media moguls to 7 million YouTube subscribers. Then all of a sudden these allegations going back 10 years appear. Coincidence? Like I said I will try and watch with an open mind but half of this program has been funded and researched by Murdoch so no bias there
It's probably more coincidental as to why hasn't been seen on mainstream media or hollywood films over the last few years so has had to resort to paying the bills by becoming a shit Alex Jones feeding the conspiracy theory nutjob incels on his YT channel.
The same "conspiracy theory nutjob incels" now defending him.
A cynic might think that he decided to go down that route knowing his seedy past might one day become public, and by appealing to the conspiracy loons he's got a ready made source of mugs to fund his legal fees.
Is he so famous though that none of these alleged victims wouldn't go to the Police at the time ? Have no view either way and didn't see the programme but does seem a bit of a hatchet job from a distance
So why didn't these women come forward at the time? And why do it all together? How did these journalists find these women all at once? Why can't these same journalists find and reveal who was on the Epstein list? So many questions. Calling people nut jobs and conspiracy theorists is wrong. Some maybe. Some may just be open minded to other possibilities.
My open mind has led me to the possibility the welsh government have orchestrated it to divert people's attention from their20mph speed limit and their ultimate aim of 15 minute cities and stopping people using their cars.
Makes much more sense rather than poor old Russell being more than a bit gropey.
