    Under soil heating

Did anyone post what the situation is on this? Is it mandatory in the Premiership, and what the cost is of installing it.And are they ecologically undesirable…..

The requirement is for undersoil heating or a frost cover. Which we already have.

There was a post on here yesterday saying we're not getting it at the Kenny but will be in place at Power Court - no idea if true. I also thought it was a requirement of Premier League grounds but maybe they're letting us off given we're moving.

Thanks SE1. You can imagine the reactions when our first Home game is postponed because of a frozen pitch!,,Sky won’t h

We have made arrangements to have a type of inflatable frost cover so will not be installing under soil heating as it would be a waste of money for 3 years only. Under soil heating is to be installed at PC.

The thing is, if the weather is that bad isn't it usually called off anyway because it's unsafe for supporters to get there safely?

I'd imagine as many of our matches have been called off due to visibility (fog) as frozen pitches over the years. And there's not much you can do about that....

If they are (undesirable) we will have that bellend Chris Packham ripping up the pitch

Forgive my horticultural ignorance but doesn't undersoil heating just mean that you get a game postponed for a waterlogged pitch instead of snow?😉
