Just been watching (again) the Sky post match interview where RE wells up having seen the picture of Locks in bed celebrating. Reminded me how lucky we are to have this man as our boss. He is a thoroughly decent human being.

Haha I agree but let’s wait and see how things pan out. He might jump ship at the earliest opportunity. Hopefully not but stranger things have happened

Personally, anyone who jumped ship now I wouldn't care that much.

They'd be a mug to leave and there would be candidates falling over themselves for the opportunity to work at this club.

Bit tragic that the first response alludes to his jumping ship. FFS

Tragic - like your confused support of Charlton / Luton. Tragic, like your weirdo obsession with an ex-Luton player.

I don't think many sensible fans would begrudge him if he did given what's he's done - effectively securing the clubs viable competitive future via a jackpot promotion?

I agree with you but, mate, do you find any positives in ANYTHING?

You must be an exhausting person to be around

                +1

I don't think he will go anywhere anytime soon. There are people around who are not motivated by money, but success. He would be a very wealthy person anyway, and he knows that he is onto a very good thing here. OK, millions in the bank does help, but money cannot buy happiness.

Yeah, I agree but if he leaves and he goes about it the right way, I ain't going to begrudge him it

He'll leave eventually, of course, but let's enjoy this moment and summer and worry about that sort of stuff when he has us in the 4th Champions League place by November

                    Long serving managers

I think long serving managers have long disappeared, Alec Fergusson was one of the last with Wenger, and apparently Fergusson was nearly fired after his first 2 seasons. No-one can predict when the opportunity that's too good to turn down will arise, everyone has their price.

                    Definitely.

In a way next year is a free hit for him.

If we finish rock bottom he will still have a fantastic reputation.

If we're somehow clear of the relegation zone then when the likes of Villa, Everton, West Ham etc hit the panic buttons in December he may have his head turned.

You say that, but I'd be pretty sure that Chris Winter ####wit off of Vital Luton and the Flouncebook brians trust will be DEMANDING ACTION if we're not top 6 by October.

Unsurprisingly, it looks like Colin has unretired again and is going to have another season at Huddersfield.

He'll be gone in good time to help Sharon with the Christmas shopping ......

True, but almost anyone is going to be tempted by the kind of money some clubs can offer.

Like with Jones let's just enjoy it while it lasts, I'm confident enough he will stay, in fact hopefully what happened with Jones will help in that regard . . .

What happened with Edwards at Watford may well help as well. If he stays with us he is a premier league manager for the whole season (at the very least).

Yes, true enough. Maybe he will have learned the lesson that Jones failed to, and I suspect he has.
