    Second tier podcast

Have enjoyed listening to that on the way to work…one of the things I will miss from the Championship!
    Anything anyone else will miss?!?!

I love the championship, the fact that anyone can genuinely beat anyone makes it a fairly unique league. I’ll miss the Wellington because I guess we’ll drive to Villa, favourite away pub by far.

I'll miss the realism of football!!

The Prem world just seems so out of touch, like its an astronomically different place to the rest of the EFL. Probably because its almost like the unknown.

        VAR
        Commercial increases
Rumoured big spending on players (fees and wages)
        Big games every week
        Games on a Sunday
        Detailed analysis on MNF
        Highlights on MoTD

        Obviously not exhaustive list.

I know 2020 will keep us grounded and I'm excited about the step up to Prem, but part of me (which spent the late-90s through to post-millennium watching us at what became fimiliar places in Gillingham, Shrewsbury, Crewe, Peterborough etc) will be a little sad.

It’s good though I prefer NTT20 - 2nd tier tends to be a bit more sensationalist / knee jerk. Benjamin Bloom I also like though his habit of putting emphasis on random words is annoying.

I’ll miss all the north west away games - I know we’ve got the Liverpool and Manchester teams but not sure how easy it’ll be to get tickets

To be fair to Bloom (he lives very near me as if you give a flying one...) I think he emphasises random words in an attempt to not slip into a monotone, which is very easy to do when you're presenting on your own

I was being a bit mean I guess, he’s not dull to listen to and knows his stuff

No, I get where you're coming from. Bloom is good but I hear what you're saying

I know that, when I talk publicly, I try and add emphasis at times to ensure I'm not slipping into monotone and to make sure everyone's still awake!

Second tier is one of the best football podcasts around. I have not unsubscribed yet and maybe will not.

Championship and miss. I now live in Oz. Away grounds. Yeah etihad and all that shit. 1000 people packed into a stand in a superb location. That's what I want.

I’ve really enjoyed the Championship content on both podcasts and YouTube. Second Tier, Not the Top 20, Benjamin Bloom and Ben HD to name a few. Knowledgable presenters and genuine Championship fans. It helps that most of them seem to have a bit of a soft spot for a Luton.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m looking forward to the Prem but I think the Championship has been great. In the main it has delivered quality football from well established clubs without the plastic fans. Incredibly competitive too.

Agreed on this, second tier definitely had a love in for us but George Elek (Not the top 20) and Benjamin Bloom offered real depth and insight for the Championship.

I'm less likely to listen to the EPL stuff, the patronizing will be on a different level.

Agree with all of this - I very much doubt there will be anything nearly as good as these podcasts for PL. Looks like there's a lot of a club specific ones, and fantasy league type stuff but very little general content.
