Well done the Hammers

One of the smaller teams doing well.
I shouldn't, but do, hope Man City flop in their final.
I'm glad we are in the Premier League, but that's in spite of the Premier League.
So long as we continue to play by our own rules, are financially stable, and continue to hold to the ethos of the club under 2020 then I'll be happy... whatever league we are playing in.
In the meantime 'so long, and thanks for all the cash'.
No. I am not saying the real fans are bad people. I do think they have gained an awful lot of glory boys. But be honest, Luton's ascent would not be the story it is, if some rich folk came in and bought the wins.
Our owners are far from 'rich' but we spent some serious money getting out of the conference compared to most. Obviously we've done the rest on a shoestring....
What often gets forgotten is what City's owners have done to the area surrounding their ground. It was a complete run down shithole. Thousands of jobs have been created aswell. I might not agree with alot of what they've done but there is an upside.
they bought Haaland ,Akanji and Alvaraz for the same amount Liverpool bought Nunes for, they also sold Jesus,Sterling and Torres for 150 million how much have Man United spent and got nowhere the last few seasons ?
They have done incredible business over those particular transfers but it's a very selective fact that doesn't really help explain the hundred or so FFP charges that they are facing.
Take Sky's money. If we get relegated so what, we are not playing in non league. The money can be invested for the long term. Football lost its soul a long time ago. Man City charged with rule breaking but will get away with it because their owners will just litigate and litigate. If they win the CL then it's because of the oil money. For me even though we are in the PL it holds not a lot of fascination due to the sovereign wealth funds that infest it and thus skewers any sporting integrity. A level playing it isn't. Enjoy the ride.
