    American investment

Has the club had any American investment? Wasn’t there a guy from New York who invested into 2020 quite heavily back in the day?

Mick Pattinson, who was one of the original investors, was CEO of Barratt Developments (or something like that) in America.

Also, Godfrey Ingram is based over there and was involved in the early days.

Godfrey didn't actually put any money in I believe. Mick most certainly did.

Shareholder Kailesh Karavadra, raised in Luton, is California based. Rob Stringer, investor, is a lifelong Luton fan who lives in New York. Vice President Ian Montone is based in LA (Los Angeles, not Luton Airport).

Do I recall a Paul Ballantyne owning a large chunk of the shares of the club at one time. Is that still the case?

He is a major investor, most certainly. But not American.

                    The very same.

We have a pretty impressive set of musical connections: check out Vice Presidents Ian Montone and Emma Banks, then add Abbo and Cerys Matthews

                          Nice!

Two bands I'm yet to see . . . these days I'm tending to stick to smaller gigs, many of the small venues let you in with a camera so I can combine two hobbies at once .

Never seen Porcupine Tree and it's their only UK gig. Used to make an annual pilgrimage to Le Triton in Paris to see Magma and have also seen them five or six or times in the UK. Perhaps strangely, I don't possess any of their albums. They're very much a live experience I'd say.

Well, I will try to see both if I get the chance but Manchester on a school night means time off work and I couldn't stretch to it.
