Ridiculous expectations

Considering how well we recruited a team that finished comfortably as the 3rd best team in the championship, with a bottom 6 budget (or less). What if our new spending power could perform a similar feat in the premiership? We didn't need to buy proven championship players last season, nor do we for the premiership.

Could we assemble a team that could genuinely compete against players being paid 50x what ours will be on? They're not going to be 50x better than us... Keep doing what we're doing. Champions league football awaits. COYH.

I think we have to adopt the moneyball method when it comes to signings and hopefully build side that can at first stay up and then gradually add to it every season. A bit like our last 4 seasons in the championship we gradually added quality each season to a point where we played as unit and won and eanrt points to have a crack at the big time.
