    Pre Season Friendlies.

So, Chesham is apparently a done deal and a great run out for our fringe players ?

But, who else do we fancy ?

Hows about Royal Antwerp....at their place... a great way of us getting used to European away days in 24/25

Not saying I would want it, but I wouldn't be surprised if we were invited to play Wrexham (a). Bet they'd love to feature us on their documentary as an example of how far a well-run former non-league club can go.

      Away only

I guess this is the reason for the lack of news thus far.

I would think we are looking for clubs wanting to host us.

The challenge will be finding top flight opposition, it won’t be a PL opponent now

So perhaps a team in France, Germany, Portugal or Spain.

Lens or Lille would be perfect and reachable for most in a day.

Dunno but just as I was warming to Coventry - decent set of fans and a very likeable manager, they go and arrange a friendly at Frenzyville.
Gonna have to go back to disliking them again.

FC Heidenheim, promoted into the Bundesliga on a similar journey from the 5th tier of German football.

Good shout, but my preference (for several reasons) is SV Darmstadt.
I live near there (hence Gut City, which is a literal translation), and both my younger son and I have been to many of their games.
He is an absolutely dedicated Darmstadt supporter, with good contacts in the club (Ultras, etc.), but he loves coming with me to England
to watch the Hatters whenever possible (e.g. Forest home + Cardiff away in Spring 2022).
Over the years, Darmstadt have experienced a yo-yoing up and down the leagues which is very similar to Luton's (including near
                bankruptcy/oblivion once or twice).
You can look up their story under:
                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SV_Darmstadt_98
I have already made this proposal to Gary Sweet, and would be able (with my son) to assist in the organisation.
                Plus:
Darmstadt (population a bit more than 160,000) is an attractive, civilised city with good pubs and restaurants, not far from Frankfurt Airport.
SV Darmstadt have recently spent many millions on completely reconstructing their stadium (another parallel with Luton).
Heidenheim, in contrast, is a hard-to-reach, backwoods location. The club, which is mainly sponsored by the biggest local employer, Voith,
has very little in the way of tradition, having started playing football in 1910 (though its official name is 1. FC Heidenheim 1846, to reflect
when the original general sports club started).
Heidenheim is essentially an overgrown village (population just under 50,000).

Bloody hell. Not got sky and having seen they were three up, I stopped checking the BBC site.
Seems to have been a cracking game.
I guess most neutrals will be wanting Thistle win to avoid the long trek up north.

lol... To be honest I was rooting for the jags, been to Firhill on several occasions, but, with a little help from a dubious VAR penalty decision in favour of Ross, they are right back in it.

                                        Penalties it is.....

Dramatic, but terrible way to win or lose a team game.
                                        Well,,,, maybe not win 😝

Unbelievable, but according to BBC, the penalties were taken at the home end, because of police recommendation !
Surely Thistle will complain. Not that anyone will listen.

Seen that.... Hmmm, I noticed there was only one coin toss to see who went first. Scottish football can't help making a mess out of everything... It's not as if the Dingwall massive were gonna cause mayhem at the end of the day... Police Scotland, an SNP invention ... a joke beyond their use by date.
