    Fixtures

So the league will generate the fixtures as normal and if for instance we are down to play our 2nd game at home ,I assume that fixture will be reversed. Therefore the opposition will play 3 games in a row at home. Can't see them being pleased with that

They can do it such that a swap would not require that, and that the opposition would play 2 in a row. They would just ensure that our opponent when announcing fixtures had HAA rather than HAH.

We’ve been here before haven’t we after the new stand was built in 1991/92? We swapped the home game with Coventry - they played 2 home games in a row to start the season and we ended up with 3 games in a row over xmas.

So they would have to adjust fixtures to accommodate more than just ours .

Also I will add this happened as recently as 2016-17.

Liverpool also asked to play first 3 games away.

The Burnley fixture was flipped but Burnley still only played first 2 at home.

They already have to adjust fixtures for lots of reasons.

No local teams at home same day, shorter trips game after Xmas, etc
