    Extra Seats

    Posted by Sodje’s Doorag on 2/6/2023, 9:03:39

Any feasibility with installing a few more seats below the David Preece stand, or is that too complex with the floodlight pylon and burger van?

What about those seats on the corner where J Block meets the Oak Road, remember some being taken out of there a fair few years ago.

And for the Johnny Come Latelys who will no doubt be wanting tickets next season, how about putting some seating in the Kenilworth End where the training goals are currently kept. They will at least be able to just about see one of the goals.

The area you mentioned at the Kenilworth Road end is being used for some kind of new internal structure, as you can see it on the planning portal. Presumably it'll be for the media.

I think the area below the David Preece stand has been looked at, but I've seen people say it would have created too much of a bottleneck getting in and out of the ground.

Most prem clubs have fans basically next to each other. Make the no man’s land in the Oak smaller releasing another 200 seats @ £30. Every little helps

I've always wondered why we don't put up some sort of perspex (or acrylic these days perhaps) screen as a segregation 'wall' in the Oak. We'd probably still need to leave a few seats empty beside it and cover them - but that would enable us to free up a few more sheets surely.

You are very angry about all this, aren't you?

Luton's last 3 visits to Wembley - totalled well over 100,000

Watford - couldn't sell out the 2019 Cup Final Day Massacre

There used to be a void area right at the back of the Kenilworth road end that could possibly house more seats. Not sure if it is still there as haven't sat in that stand for years. Would be good to add a few more seats around the ground so the capacity was just above Bournemouth's.

Thinking purely financially if there's 3 years left at KR each seat potentially could generate £1500 in revenue - thats a tiny amount in comparison to the costs involved.

Don't forget that for every 10 extra seats we gain we would have to give the away fans one.

It would be easier to put a row safe standing seats behind row ZZ in the Kenny end

behind row ZZ is a gangway, there has been a number of arguments with the stewards regarding people in row ZZ standing up in their seating areas.
