    Ruddock and Bell

Surprised their contracts are up. Be amazed if they didn't re-sign but certainly with Pelly, is bit odd he only signed a 2 year deal last time out.

If Pelly doesn't sign for us he won't actually make it to the Premier League as he won't get signed by another PL club.

Some bloke on the train on Monday said that Amarii had told him at the sponsors dinner he was staying, and especially now why wouldnít he?

From re-reading his contract news in 2021, NJ made it sound like Pelly was hedging bets to see if anyone came in for him. Also not sure they had a great relationship (only speculating there).

Be amazed if RE hasnít made it clear already round the slot machines that Pelly is one of the first names on the team sheet next season.

Iím not sure heís good enough for next season, Iíll be happy to be proven wrong though

Jones repeatedly said how much he loved Pelly.

He also said how much he loved the club as wellÖ.

Just vibes that I think RE has a better relationship with Pelly than NJ

Pelly would be thankful he didn't go to Leeds the other year

The club doesnít generally give out long contracts, though Rea seems to be on a 4 year deal!

Rea was a really funny one. I understand he was the highest paid at the time and yes, 4 years.

Rea was a NJ mate signing

It seems he's on some kind of lifetime golden handcuff deal with us!

He was instrumental in us staying up in the first championship season and almost all fans were desperate for him to stay. Not sure Iíd have given him 4 years but maybe it was that or lose him. Weíve outgrown him, but injuries obviously havenít helped his cause

Yep, he was that Summerís major stress re losing him. We seemed to have a major uptick once he came back that year and seemed to have other interest, so itís understandable the board did what they could. Four years is surprising, in context, but Iíd hope with the prem money we can tie players down for longer, it is a challenge each summer to retain chunks of the team on 2 year deals.

Pelly has history for stretching things out.
