It's about time referees started issuing yellow cards for this sort of thing. It would soon stop it. If a keeper gets a yellow, he won't risk getting another.

On a slightly different note, I see that VAR led to one of the penalties last night being retaken. Imagine if Horvath had saved Dabo's penalty (OK, I know....) and we had celebrated like we did and then VAR had decided that it should be retaken !

think in the last womens world cup every single time a pen was saved it seemed to get retaken (well from what i could tell from the news) they cracked down on a keeper moving off his line - and basically handicapped the keepers. Thought that had settled down now.

Not much of a surprise if, in the women's world cup, they crack down on a keeper moving off his line, IMHO.

Everything is weighted against the keeper now really.

Might be an iceberg, apologies if so, did anyone else notice Potts having words with Dabo? From my, admittedly elevated, view on Saturday( block 518) DP seemed to swerve towards him and offer"advice"

Noticed that. I was in block 113. Very clear he moves towards him on the Sky highlights.

Felt he got what his antics deserved.

Sometimes feel a keeper that strides to the centre of the goal and stands there as big as possible is exuding confidence, saying I am here and I am going to save your penalty, so not sure all this time wasting and chatter actually affect anything.

I suspect their nonsense would actually help a kicker.
It gives them a few more seconds of not thinking about (what if) the actual kick.

It seems to be a fairly common tactic (that normally results in a booking)

if a keeper can get a in a players head and cause doubt then they have done their job. of course sometiems players see it as a challenge - Elijah a couple of seasons back putting the ball exactly where the keeper told him it was going..

He was swearing his head off directing it all at each of the takers. I think he threw in you’re going to miss you C you next Tuesday to Taylor. Can’t remember exactly but it was all pretty classless. We had to wait for him for ages as he ran to the dressing room after extra time. Might have been the loo 🚽 or he was studying the takers stats. Didn’t help him either way
