On Talksport seems to think we'll spend £30 - £40 million on players this summer.

Given we've never spent more than £2m on a player that is mental!

      He's a t1t

We are allowed 7 loan players

Obviously premiershite clubs won't lend us players, so we would have to look abroad.

We can't afford to pay £40 million, and who of these 'players' would agree to a cut £10k a week afterwards if we get relegated ?

Premiership clubs loan players to other Premiership clubs all the time, usually with a clause that they can’t play against the loaning club.

You`d have thought a minimum of 10 million

      Need at a minimum

GK - (either Horvath or someone else)
      CB - To replace Sonny
RB - Either Drameh or someone else
CM - Either Marvelous or someone else
ST - Need 5 strikers in a squad - we lost 2 in Jan and gained one "for the future). also shows how badly exposed we could have been by Cauleys injury. throwing on a player without a league goal to his name is not ideal (but had that goal stood what a place to score your first goal that would have been!)

problem is now when we go calling for players, clubs know we are 100 million quid richer

Forest spent way more than the income they got for a season and replaced their entire squad . And just avoided relegation. We aren`t going to do that. we also arent going to be bringing in any players that will upset the squad ethic .

The ethic of the club is a winning one.

We won’t want to settle for a struggle and I think we will spend more than most expect.

You don’t get this far and then hope to rely on sentiment.

Need a CB to replace Naismith. We have been very thin at CB all season.

We effectively replaced him with Bell by bringing in Alfie. And then Osho stepped up

GK - (either Horvath or someone else) - bring Istead back.
CB - To replace Sonny - fair enough
RB - Either Drameh or someone else - it'll be Drameh at reduced cost as Leeds offload.
CM - Either Marvelous or someone else - I think our midfield is ok if we can secure Nakamba. Again rumours suggest a cut price deal and villa seem happy to offload.
              And yes another forward.

I don't think we need to spend silly money and I sincerely hope we don't.

Isted is out of contract. the club statement was pretty clear that he wont be coming back I think. And it is time he is a number 1 somewhere. Won`t be us.

I`m not sure we will necessarily get drameh that cheaply - under 24 and a year left and other clubs interested.

Marvellous - In Villas interest to offload him - he is just taking up space on the wagebill

The forward you would have thought may be a Cameron Jerome type of signing - experienced at this level but surplus to requirements at their current club .

but at least 3 of those positions will break our transfer record you would have thought

We could ask the premier league to make the payment to us ‘undisclosed’

Realistically, I reckon 40-50 million to build a squad for the future.

                  That makes sense.

                  Why would we not?

We want to stay up and we also want to give ourselves a chance of coming straight back if we didn’t.

We won’t do a Forest but we will have to spend some serious money WISELY to get the right squad.

                  Brentford managed it.
