Tickets

When I started supporting LTFC as a lad in the early 50's we had just got in the top Division. The gates were regularly 25000 or more. For all games it was pay on the gate and anyone who wanted to go and watch the Hatters and the top teams in the country could do so. As a result me and many others became lifelong supporters. It was the same in the Mid 70's and 80's (subject to Evans membership scheme). The situation next season is different. With restricted capacity and only 2000 or so tickets available at home to non season tickets how does the club attract the next generation of supporters. In my view 200 or so tickets should be made available to children under 12 und an accompanying parent if they have not been before. How else do we attract the next generation of supporters.

Happy to spend a shed load of cash on a ticket so I can watch my beloved hatters that I've supported passionately for a zillion years despite never actually attending home or away. Must be Arsenal at home ticket though on case Luton lose and I can console myself that my first team won.

Maybe we could consider building a bigger stadium?

Build a new stadium?
Take your point though, nice idea. Maybe they can have the new seats in Bobbers Stand Mk II.

Maybe we could build a new ground?
Jeez

The point is that even with a new ground demand would outstrip supply. For many years anyone could come to see a game and get hooked without a problem. Now we are in a situation that is no longer the case.

I think they will up the new stadium capacity to 30000. Yes it's a gamble but either way new season ticket holders and members will be a factor. It gives the extra option of a few thousand extra away supporters too.
