    Remember...

Posted by Farmer Geddon on 29/5/2023, 15:07:56

...so, not so long ago, we lost at home to Crawley, 1-2, and a few folk **apped themselves.

In response I said it doesn't matter, because we're Luton Town, and we'll be fine regardless - and rounded off my post with some information on the spectacular Tiger Shark.

So, I was behind the goal on Saturday, reflecting on how things have gone since then. I felt proud, but then that's how I have always felt. I love our club and thank everyone involved, but especially the board for all their work. I remember the stick Gary Sweet got after some matches (York in particular) and he stood up, gave his time and honest answers to some blunt and ill considered, reactionary barbs.

Be proud, not just now...but always. We have a wonderful club. Cheers, FG.

But if you look at teams we were in the conference with, none have exactly set the league on fire.

I remember that game very well. We do have a truly wonderful club and wonderful supporters.

It was a real kick in the nads! Especially as we had to watch their 141 (?) strong following have a ball. Let me make it clear, I'm not knocking them, no way. That was their time and good luck to them.

I'm not a happy clapper, but I'll be damned if I ever slate my club. There's a difference. Pride is never fickle. Saturday was something else eh. Surreal, not unlike 1988, but different because what it meant in respect to that Crawley match (and those York matches, and AFC Wimbledon).
