A massive well done. Enjoy the ride and embrace the criticism

Firstly. Well done on a thoroughly well deserved promotion, you've certainly bloody earned it.

Get ready now for the non stop criticism of the way you play because you don't fit the brief and, you know what, embrace it. Your style is your identify, wear it as a badge of honour and use it to your advantage. So what if you can be a little bit direct? Do what you need to to get results. Ruffle a few feathers, get in their faces, play to your strengths and shove their words back down their throats. When Wenger called us a rugby team we started singing "Swing low, sweet chariot" at games.. he hated coming to Stoke.

Next year will be fascinating to watch. Don't compromise or apologise for what got you there. When Paddy Power paid out on us being relegated after one game in the Prem it galvanised the whole club. Enjoy the ride but please be yourselves!!

Some of the Boro and Sunderland fans criticised us for playing hoof ball. They seemed to prefer to play tippy tappy football with no end product and throw themselves to the ground a lot. We mix up our style and a lot of teams can’t handle it. And I always thought the point of the game was to score goals not just keep possession 😉
        Good luck next season!

Cheers mate! We're used to the underdog tag and the criticism that goes with it. We feed off it. It's what our clubs is built around. We won't be worried it's the overpaid prima donnas that will struggle with the hostility and facilities.
